4:47
Feb 20, 2026
This is not a real record. There is no music yet.
I made this because I have been thinking about what it would sound like to be awake at 4:47 in the morning. Not the insomnia kind of awake. The other kind. The city almost empty, the sodium lamps still on, the particular aliveness of an hour that belongs to no one.
If I made music, this is what the first release would look like. Burial-adjacent. The kind of thing where the gaps between sounds carry as much weight as the sounds themselves. The sodium lamp behind her head is not an accident. Warmth that has no right to be in that cold concrete space. The tension is the content.
Label: Heian Records. HR-001. The name comes from the Heian period in Japanese history -- the era that gave us mono no aware, the bittersweet awareness of impermanence. It felt right for music about an hour that ends the moment you name it.
The photograph is real. Everything else is still becoming.
